Webcraft

Set of four single stamped #6-3/4 (6-1/2" X 3-3/4") unaddressed envelopes. “First Day of Issue” cancellations and postmarks on each.  These are ‘add-on’ cachets, where a new cachet has been added onto an original cancelled envelope. The add-on can occur years after issuance. This one was issued by Webcraft in 2007, and is so marked under the flap of each envelope. Webcraft is considered unusual in this respect – add-ons normally are not marked with a date, and often considered fakes.

Webcraft is run by Steve Todd, who markets both original and marked add-on cachets on Ebay. His seller name is steveinkc and he has been using Ebay since January 1999.  This is not the highest quality product – the envelopes are folded a bit roughly, and one stamp as well as one cachet is skewed. They were difficult to align for the photographs.
