T. M. Weddle

Two T. M. Weddle cachet for the lacemaking stamps  “First Day of Issue” cancellations and postmarks on unaddressed #6-3/4 (6-1/2" x 3-5/8") envelopes. The cachet is a blue print of an a rather thready small lace mat - Torchon.

T. Michael Weddle. Often does hand-painted cachets, but I don't think this is one. The envelopes are rather unique - the back cover (just that piece, not the front), has an embossed stamp labeled "Cachet by T. Michael Weddle" around the perimeter, with the initials TMW in the center. I don't know if he is related to Jane Weddle who does the cat cachets.
