Belgian Kantkussen with Valenciennes pattern

A typical 2-part Belgian kantkussen with a light green cover. There is a drawer at the top of the large section, and another drawer in the base. The green cover is laid over the original canvas cover and pinned in place. The canvas can be seen around the edges tacked to the wooden frame. What is remarkable about this pillow is that it has a piece of Valenciennes in progress. Note that the pins only hold the piece on the sides, making this almost a freehand lace. The bobbins are gone, but that often happens in pieces like this - someone has cut them off probably to sell separately.
