Vande Voorde

6" high, 5" long, 3-1/4" wide.

I am confident in attributing this to the Vande Voorde pottery in Brugges. There appears to be a signatue under the chair, but it is very hard to read. This is one of the very few Vlaams Aardewerk potteries that is well documented (see References below). The cover of that book shows this figure but with a real piece of lace on the pillow. Early 20th century.

Note the mounded up area at the front of the pillow, representing pins. This is a large figure, with good detailing in the chair area. Nicely modelled features on the face, a hallmark of this pottery.

Chipped on 3 corners of the base, a little along the right side skirt, and one upper edge of the chair.
