Lacemaker

4-1/2" high, 4" long, 2-5/8" wide.

Unsigned, but the Vande Voorde pottery in Brugges products are unmistakable. This is one of the very few potteries that is well documented (see References below). This piece is one of their smaller ones, with no cutout areas like my larger example (see 'Previous'). Early 20th century.

Note the mounded up area at the front of the pillow, representing pins. The details of the face are wonderful, even the eyelids are molded. It seems as though the Vande Voorde products all unique - no two exactly the same.

No chips or damage cracks, but a little firing crazing in the glaze. Not bad.
