Very good condition. Cut both ends. One small hole, one seam. Localized brown spot near top border at one end.
Mesh/motifs - linen. Average diameter 0.059mm, Standard Deviation 0.010mm.
Gimp - linen. Looks like a doubled 2 ply S, Single Z. average diameter ~0.350mm.

A Mechlin border, slightly scalloped with large drooping flower, leaves and buds (perhaps a carnation?). 9 rows of esprits, small buds. A fairly wide piece for the type. The halfstitch in the petals might indicate a slightly later date in the early 19th c.
Interesting, this mesh most often has only 1 twist in the pairs before entering the plait.
