Bucks insertion

4" x 200"
Excellent condition. Cut at both ends.

The condition of this piece probably indicates that it is a product of the North Bucks Lace Association. It is an insertion of the tulip design, as discussed in the Lace Guild magazine "Lace", pages 14-15, 1987, "The North Bucks Lace Association" by Pamela Nottingham MBE. A similar insertion along with two different widths of a border of this pattern are illustrated in the article. The Association, founded in 1897, revived older designs.
