Windmill bobbin winder with drawer

Base: 10.5" x 4.625" x 1.125. Maximum height ~11".
Drawer: outside 4.5" x 3.25" x 1", inside: ~4" x 2.125" x 0.75". 0.4375" front thickness, 0.25" sides and back, 0.1875" bottom thickness.
Cup: 2.5" long, 1" inner diameter, less than 0.1" thick. 0.5" of the axel sticks out at the back, total is 5.5" long.
Cup uprights (acorn finials): front 6.75", back 6.5" tall, 1" maximum diameter. Upright centers are 2" apart at the base. angled toward the left side ~2.5 degrees. Bases go entirely through the base block.
Pulley: 0.5" thick, 1.375" max diameter, ~0.9" inner diameter.
Wheel: 8" diameter (drive ration about 9:1), rim 1.125" wide, 0.1" thick. Spokes 3" long, center hub 2" max diameter, 2.75" long.
Wheel axis: 5" long, .0375" sticks out back. Small wooden cotter pin just after the hub, seems removable but tight.
Wheel upright (acorn finial): 7.75" tilted toward the right side ~5 degrees. Base goes entirely through the base block. Windmill support arm 13.25", probably 1" diameter, but cut flat to fit on the base. Pivot point 1" from back, 1.25" from side, peg goes all the way through the base. Windmill pivot 3.375" long, 0.75" goes into the arm, 1.375" sticks up for windmill. Rest is turned to taper to the windmill arm.
Windmill arms 18" long, tapered from 1.375" center to ~0.5" at ends, nicely rounded. About half the center thickness is removed on each to fit into the cross. Wood 0.735" thick throughout. The holes are arranged at ~5.5", 6.5", 8" from the center hole on each arm, and each hole is slanted toward the outside at about 45 degrees.

Very good condition, just a little loss to the finish. Slight crack in the upright next to the cup, minor. One spoke next to the wheel handle spoke is cracked a little near the tip. The tip of the wheel axel has a split, might be deliberate? Wonderful wear signs on the wheel handle.

A finely made windmill bobbin winder with spoked wheel, probably oak. The base is a solid block carved out to accommodate the drawer, which sticks out ~0.125". Note the decorative drawer pull, and turned elements with acorn finials on the uprights. The originally cylindrical windmill arm has been cut flat to fit on the base. The original drive-band is a 0.125" wide woven tape sewn together for about 3" and is crossed to go around the pully for better traction. The wheel strip is joined with a 1.5" long flat piece on the inside diameter, tapered at the ends, probably glued in place (very nice).
The wheel and cup assembly are beautifull balanced, one of the best in the collection. I've done detailed measurements since this is an important piece.
There are several bobbins, sharpened pegs (not all match), and miscellaneous pieces in the drawer. The pegs can be used in the windmill holes.
