19th century Alençon border

Very good condition. Beige color, a few pinholes. It seems to have been taken off a garment and has a slightly curved trajectory, but wear is slight. Cut both ends, one on a ragged diagonal, the other end straight.

A short repeat of a rose, leaf and two smaller flowers and some buds. A straight chain of small leaves at the top. Excellent example later 19th c Alençon lace, in an extraordinary length.
