He studied under Raymond Corbin, professor of sculpture and medal engraving at the école nationale supérieure des beaux-arts de Paris. The silver medal is 8.6 cm in diameter. It came with the stand, and was purchased in Alençon in 1980. It is dated on the flat rim 1979, 58/100. I purchased this in Alençon in 1980, and it is shown with the original plastic stand. The bronze version is 7.7 cm in diameter. It is quite thick, aroud 22.8 mm, and is 207.3 gm. The edge is plain and inscribed 1979 bronze.
