Abruzzi border, Gessopalena?

Tea colored, worn, a few broken threads.

A tape lace border resembling the Gessopalena border in figure 339 of Ricci's "Old Italian Lace". Although that example does not have a scalloped border, and the design is not so refined.
The design here is bold and well executed, with a heavy thread. Note the mesh-like fillings between the tapes which resemble some of the l'Aquila work. Milanese is also a possibility, but there is no decorative work in the tape itself (not a major complaint). For the moment I'll leave it in the Gessopalina category.
