Burano Bertha

38" neckline, 5-3/4" deep
Had this washed by Heather Toomer, basically in perfect condition.

A superior Burano example, made at the Queen Margherita school (per the attached tag). This dates the piece around 1930. Delicate design, no cordonnet, minimal fillngs.

This pattern in process is labled as the Manufattura Merletti Jesurum Burano, and is very similar to the bertha. This pattern unforunately, is not in my collection and is shown here only as a comparable. The tag states that it was purchased in Venice in 1908 as an 'old Italian pattern'.
