Burano pattern

A little worn, but not bad. 

A Burano pattern on blue paper in the process of execution. "Manufattura Merletti" probably refers to the Jesurum factory in Burano. Works like this are essential since they illustrate the manufacturing process. Note the lines indicating the direction of the ground. And that the motifs were worked before the ground and fillings.

Wording on the front -
Roman numerals might refer to a pattern number. Written in script is:
