Very good condition, worn soft, beige color. A few tiny breaks in the header. Cut both ends, one end secured.
Linen thread: 2 ply S, single Z. 0.281mm average, 0.034 standard deviation. 

A border of Pescocostanzo bobbinlace, likely freehand (disegno sciolto). See Elisa Ricci "Old Italian Lace", plate 307 for a similar piece (in the English version of her book, they are called "Pescolane" laces). Note the elaborate header and footer, the stylized vine pattern, and a ground resembling the round Valenciennes mesh.
