Reticella Table Cover

Very good condition, considering the age. Extensive light brown staining.

A roughly rectanular table cover with Punto in Aria geometric inserts. The fact that it is almos exactly 1 meter on each side makes me think it might be more modern. But the tag sewn in the corner says "The date of this Italian lace is not later than 1595 ?C."
It does not appear to have been cut down. Given the lightness of the needlelace this might be a Flemish piece. Needs more investigation.
