Spanish Sol drawnwork shawl

Probably linen, a little dirty, some red staining. Remarkably good condition.

I have no idea where this was made, so am putting it under the Spanish Sol drawnworks for the moment. The design is unusally bold and effective. Note the small embroidered mark, probably from the maker. The end and side work appear knotted, so this might be a Mediterranean work. Or perhaps the Spanish Soles de Salamanca.
