'M'

Four #6-3/4 (6-1/2" x 3-11/16") unaddressed envelopes with single stamps. “First Day of Issue” cancellations and postmarks on each.  The cachet is a grandmotherly looking cartoon duck (definitely not the Disney 'Daisy Duck') with a hat, yellow blouse, apron, and old fashioned shoes, holding a piece of lace based on the ‘Applique Mixed Technique I’ stamp. It appears hand-painted, with the letter M in the lower left corner of the painting.  I am unable to figure out who issued these envelopes, but I did purchase some from Jerry Meyers of Jerryscovers, so it might be him.
