Vieux Flandre collar

Very good condition. There are a few stray threads along the border which might have been used for attachment to a garment, hard to tell. A few pinholes in the needlelace ground, and some loose brides - minor.

A long collar of Vieux Flandre, similar to a lappet scarf. Raised '10-stick' like edges to the motifs, and the picoted bride ground is unusual for this kind of lace. Some varied fillings resembling snow and partridge-eye motifs. The needlelace ground is used to accent the design rather serve as a regular ground. Technically this is a well-done piece with a design that is a bit unusual for Vieux Flandre.
