Very good condition. One small hole 10" above right end toward the outside edge.

Lappet scarf of Vieux Flandre (Old Flanders) made in one piece, constant width throughout. The mesh is needlemade, 1 twist worked from the right to the left, which is the same as the Point de Gaze return stitch. The top loops are overcast twice on the return. This is very different from the Alençon mesh, which has 1-1/2 twists worked from left to right with up to three overcasts on the return.
