English bobbin box

A well-used oak bobbin box with an unusual sliding cover.
This goes with the Square_7 pillow and  windmill_8 bobbin winder.

Seller's statement, 03/25/2017: Hi there, happy to have a discussion about any thing, via email. We have an awful lot of lacemaking equipment it seems that my great great great grandmother did a lot of it! In Northamptonshire. We have hundreds of wooden and bone bobbins, a lot of lace thread and Lace itself. We had some lace professionals from Norfolk and Suffolk come over yesterday and have a look through it, so we are a little bit better informed about what is what, but in general we don't do lacemaking ourselves so don't know a lot about it! Perhaps the best thing is to photograph it?
