La C. P. A. ", Paris

A beautifully posed studio postcard of two women supposedly engaged in a lacemaking lesson. The headdresses, especially for the younger woman, are spectacular. It really doesn't matter if these are actual lacemakers - the pillow and its partially completed Chantilly fan on a Normandy-type is certainly authentic, probably from the Bayeaux region.

Only top top card has any publisher marks, reading "La C. P. A. ", Paris".
