Les Chansons de Jean RAMEAU illustrées This is not the French composer Jean-Philippe Rameau (1683-1764), and unless you are really into Baroque music, you probably never heard of him either. It is actually the French poet and author, Laurent Labaigt (1859-1942), who used the pseudonym Jean Rameau. From his picture you might think he could use a good haircut and shave, when in fact he was a member of the "Hydropaths". This sounds like a bunch of guys who might benefit from a bath, and the name actually means something like "those who water makes sick". It was an important Parisian literary club that existed from 1878-80, and unofficially until 1884. Then he goes and builds himself this really nice house. Not cut too well. Poet. Signed by him. Many of these around 1913 Wikipedia article in french. Apparently built a really cool house. http://livrenblog.blogspot.com/2009/01/j-rameau-le-claudicator-de-laurent.html
