Good condition. Cut both ends. A few localized dark and faint brown spots, some wear along the top and a few small holes.
Linen: 2 ply S Single Z. average 0.157mm standard deviation 0.038mm. The upper border trace might be a braid of similar threads.

This piece has an ~18" repeat of a rather blocky undulating design of leaves and flowers. Scalloped picoted border, and the picots on the brides are more ambitious. Good manipulation of the clothwork to follow form, and decorative elements show some innovation. The base of the brides is also probably multiple threads. This piece has landed in the Italian Flat Point category mainly because of the fineness of the thread.
