Italian Flat Point Needlelace border

30.5" to 28.5" x 4.5" (72.39cm 50 77.47cm x 11.43cm)
Good condition. Cut on all sides. A more modern lower border and engrelure have been attached. Numerous repairs.

Unclear how much is left of this border, but the top border seems relatively intact. The left-right symmetry looks good. The motifs are blocky but nicely arranged with large areas of flatwork, and diamond shaped decoration. The technique is excellent with fine linen thread. The picoted circles decorating the brides are very typical of this kind of lace.
