Italian Flat Point Needlelace border

Poor condition, Cut both ends, and the lower? border seems to have been replaced. Worn, washed, numerous holes, many repairs. Linen: 2 Pl S Single Z. average 0.157mm, standard deviation 0.016mm. I think there is a heavier thread used for the trace but it is difficult to isolate.

Don't know if this is Italian or English. The thread is rather fine, like two other examples. There is a reapeat, about 2 feet in length. Note the picots which appear only on the brides. There is a pattern of straight pairs, and someday I'll pick one apart to see how they are made - there seems to be a straight thread coming out of a series of buttonholes and going back into the bride. Other picots are done as plain or picoted rings. This is quite a complex piece.
