Chebka Knotted Lace Square

8.5" x 8.875" (21.59cm x 22.54cm)

Very good condition, no obvious defects. There are a few creases in the embroidered net, and the whole piece is a little browned. Some working threads have not been cut off.

This is probably not a handkerchief, given its small size and the heavily embroidered net backed with silk? in the center. The Chebka border has a design of diamonds and vertical bars. The corners appear to be original, not cut and pieced together. Chebka had a large market in France, so this piece might have been assembled there.
