CL Cachets

Block of 4 on an unaddressed #6-3/4 (6-1/2" x 3-11/16") envelope, bearing “First Day of Issue” postmark and cancellation. Four accompanying single stamped envelopes of the same size. The ‘cachet’ bears the famous ‘doth neither hide nor heat’ quote from “The History of the Worthies of England”, 1662, by Thomas Fuller.  Marked No. 5 CL Cachets.

The “CL” is Chris Lazaroff, who started this business in 1985. His cachets are almost exclusively in one color. He has served as the President of the American First Day Cover Society.
