Grusz

Grusz hand drawn “of the period” set of 5 unlabeled #6-3/4 (6-9/16" x 3-11/16") envelopes. Pencil erased addresses. The envelopes have “First Day of Issue” cancellations and postmarks.  The simple red, black and blue lettered cachet is very typical of Grusz work.  The ordering of the color changes on the envelope with the 4 stamp block. This is one of my favorites.  Somehow the statement that “Craft is endured in United States to this day” says it all.

This maker often produces one-of-a-kind issues, and this might be one of them.
